This is a classic mid century design - a long john teak coffee table from the G Plan Danish range in the mid 1960s. The underside and legs are solid Afromosia, giving a lovely contrast to the teak table top. The table top has been professionally reveneered with quality veneer and stunning grain pattern. Under the main table top is an under shelf for additional storage.

Designed by the internationally renowned Danish designer and architect Ib Kofod Larsen for G Plan, it is a perfect example of the enduring simple and elegant mid century design approach. Kofod Larsen was employed as creative director by G-Plan in the 1960s to rejuvenate its design approach to compete in a market that was increasingly influenced by Danish Modern design. At the time, the Danish range did not sell in the numbers that G-Plan hoped for, partly due to the increased cost of manufacture and higher price points. These designs are now rare and highly sought after.

Note for shipping: The legs are removed and easily reassembled with a screwdriver
