Details: By the mid 20th Century, Asko was the largest Finnish furniture manufacturer, and one of the largest of the Nordic countries, exporting across Europe. Esko Pajamies was one of a core team of illustrious designers during the 1960s and the Bonanza range became synonymous with Scandinavian and European family living.
Esko Pajamies, a trained interior architect, was instrumental in moving Asko furniture away from the dark and heavy wood pre mid century trends towards a contemporary style of lighter wood shades and simple, functional design.
The armchair accompanying this Bonanza sofa is featured in the Asko collection photographic archives in a typical Finnish family living room. The quality of design and manufacture makes it just as durable and attractive as it was almost 60 years ago. It is a perfect sofa for family living, being durable and easy to clean. A striking, well designed and comfortable sofa that would be a perfect addition to any living space.
Note, the flash photography of the images show a slightly shiny sheen to the leather, which is of a darker matt finish. If you would like further images, please contact us.
